The CHS Theatre Department is hosting a family-friendly Madrigal Dinner fundraiser on December 18, at 6:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church across from the high school. This is the first of what is hoped will be a longstanding tradition. We will be serving a hearty homemade soup and bread dinner prepared by the Essential Life Skills class at a cost of $8 per meal to cover that expense. During dinner, the high school choir will perform several holiday selections, and then the main event: The Christmas Mummers! This band of merry actors will perform a traditional medieval-style play: St. George and the Dragon! As is the tradition of mumming troupes, we will be "passing the hat" for collecting donations for the theatre program. Please call 541-568-4424 and speak to Kim or Kelsey to make your reservation through Dec. 17! Money for dinner will be collected at the door. We hope that you will join us for this evening of merriment! All ages are welcome!
