The Cove School District will hold a Special Meeting open to the public on Thursday, October 28, at 7PM in the school cafeteria. The single item of consideration is the possible addition of a full-time technology director position. The Middle School Football awards ceremony will be held at six o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, November 2 in the cafeteria.
High School report cards for Quarter 1 are being mailed today. If you do not receive one for your student, please contact Karen Moore at 541-568-4424 or karen.moore@covesd.org to make sure we have your correct mailing address.

High School conferences will be on a drop-in basis and will all be in High School Gym Thursday 4PM-8PM, October 28, and Friday 8AM-12PM, October 29.
The Cove Leopard Football team will play tonight at 7:00 pm on Goodson Field in their final game of the season. Seniors and their families will be recognized at 6:50. Come out and support your team.
The Cove High School Leopard Volleyball Team will play in the district tournament tomorrow starting at 10 am against the Powder Valley Badgers after their 3-1 victory over Nixyaawii last night. Head over to Baker High School to support your Leopard Volleyball.
The Animal Science class had a great opportunity to draw blood on ewes today! The blood is vacuum sealed, sent to a lab, and tested to see if the ewes are pregnant. We owe a debt of gratitude to Jenny Beverage and Jessie Bakker for their help in making this happen.

COVE HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL--The Cove Leopard volleyball team will be playing in the District Quarterfinal game against the Nixyaawii Golden Eagles in Mission on Thursday night, October 21st at 6:00 pm. Wear blue and come out to support the girls as they advance in the playoffs.
HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL--The Cove High School ASB will be hosting a Halloween themed school carnival on October 30th in the main gym at the high school from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be lots of games, prizes, food, and fun. MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THIS FUN-FILLED EVENT.
REMINDER - Jostens rep will be here tomorrow (10/19) to take orders for rings, jackets, invitations, cap & gowns, etc....
As the dust settled from our busy week last week, I can't help but be thankful for our school, students, and community! The Cove FFA chapter won the district soils contest, and was third in the district rituals contest at our leadership camp. In between those two events we had a great fall festival! Thank you to all who came and supported us!

The COVE HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TEAM will host the Griswold Grizzles tomorrow night in Cove for the first round of the district playoffs. The game will begin at 6:00 pm, and all are encouraged to wear blue to support your home town team. GO LEOPARDS!!!
Great Job Cove ASB officers and all the kids who helped make the community assembly and bonfire a huge success. A good time was had by all in attendance!!

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY'S BASKETBALL--Middle school boy's basketball practice will start Monday at 2:45 in the old gym. Practice will be from 2:45 pm to 4:00 pm. Cove will play Pine Eagle in Halfway on 10/29 at 10 am. The rest of the schedule will be posted next week.
A big shout out and thank you from the athletic teams at Cove High School to Grande Ronde Hospital for donating socks for our Breast Cancer Awareness games and meets. Thank you especially to Candis Smith who delivered them to the school and make last night's game so memorable.
The representative from Josten's was at school today with information about class rings, jackets and graduation. He met with the Juniors & Seniors. Please ask your student for the information, orders are due Tuesday, Oct 19.
Community pep assembly and bon fire starting at 7:00 pm on Thursday night, October 14th. Everyone is invited to participate in this fun event with class competitions and games starting in the gym at 7:00 pm with the bon fire to follow.
COVE HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL--The high school volleyball team will play Powder Valley tomorrow night in an OOL matchup starting at 4:30. This is their 2021 official PINK GAME for breast cancer awareness. Wear pink in support of this worthy cause.
